Welcome to the Warsaw Village Tree Board
The Village of Warsaw’s Tree Board was formed in 2023 by a group of concerned citizens. In recent years, many of the Village’s street trees were removed from neighborhood terraces due to age and disease. The Tree Board’s goal is to return trees to these terraces by raising funds to plant trees and increase the tree canopy in the Village of Warsaw. Street trees provide numerous environmental benefits and improve quality of life. Not only do street trees provide shade and beautify our community, but trees also improve air quality and increase property values.
The tree board seeks to involve the public as much as possible by providing educational materials about the benefits of trees in our community and involving the community in planting plans and tree board activities.
The Tree Board will be actively seeking grants and will be reaching out to the public to be involved in efforts to increase our tree canopy in hopes to eventually become an official Tree City USA Community.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend Village Tree Board meetings which are held monthly on the second Wednesday, September thru May at 7pm at the United Church meeting room. If you are interested in participating please email: Jim Carter at jgcarter@frontiernet.net
